Ibadan North-East stakeholders celebrate Adekanmbi-Akinseye’s PDP Primary Win - commend party leaders

Stakeholders in Ibadan North-East have congratulated Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye on her emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency seat following the party’s primary held on May 17, 2026.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the group said her victory reflected strong grassroots support across the constituency and was the outcome of sustained engagement with party members.

The stakeholders, led by Comrade Abdulahi Akinola and Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Adetola, commended PDP leaders at both state and national levels for what they described as a transparent and orderly primary election. They said the process reinforced confidence in the party’s internal democratic system and its commitment to due process.

They also called on party members to unite behind Adekanmbi-Akinseye ahead of the 2027 general election, stressing that cohesion would be key to retaining the seat for the PDP.

Adekanmbi-Akinseye secured victory across all 24 wards in the constituency. She pledged to prioritize youth empowerment, education, and infrastructure development in her campaign going forward.
