Adekanmbi Continues Thank-You Tour in Surulere, Ogo-Oluwa, Pledges Inclusive Governance

The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, on Tuesday continued his statewide thank-you tour with visits to Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas, where he reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots development.

Adekanmbi, who was accompanied by his running mate, Hon. Muftau Open-Salawu, was received by party members, community leaders and supporters at various stops during the tour.

Addressing stakeholders, the APM flag bearer expressed gratitude to party faithful and residents for their support, assuring them that an APM administration would prioritise policies that directly address the needs of people at the grassroots.

He said his administration, if elected in 2027, would promote participatory governance, equitable distribution of government resources and community-driven development across the state.

Adekanmbi recalled his tenure as Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), noting that the agency executed several community-based projects in Surulere, Ogo-Oluwa and other parts of the state.

According to him, the projects cut across education, healthcare, potable water supply and rural infrastructure, adding that meaningful development is achieved when communities are actively involved in identifying and implementing projects that affect their lives.

He pledged to empower local communities and ensure that every part of Oyo State benefits from government programmes and development initiatives.

“The vision of building a prosperous and people-centred Oyo State can only be realised through collective effort, inclusive leadership and an unwavering commitment to the common good,” Adekanmbi said.

The tour was attended by the APM candidate for the Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Hon. Sunday Ojo Makanjuola (SMATO); the party’s candidate for the Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa State Constituency, Hon. Abideen Adeoye Ogundare; the Oyo State Chairman of the APM, Hon. Fagbemi Adegbenro Peters; the Alliance Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, as well as other party leaders and stakeholders.
