The Future of Oyo Central Lies in Our Hands — Akeem Salawu

A political stakeholder in Oyo Central, Akeem Salawu, has called on youths and residents of the senatorial district to take active roles in shaping the future of the area through hard work, unity, and participation in community development.
In a statement made available to journalists, Salawu said the future desired by the people would not come automatically but must be built through sacrifice, dedication, and collective effort.
According to him, young people must stop waiting for change from others and instead take responsibility for creating a better society.
“The future we desire will not be handed to us on a platter. It will be built by our ideas, our sacrifices, our hard work, and our determination to create a better tomorrow,” he said.

Salawu noted that Oyo Central has the potential for greater development if the people believe in their strength, talents, and ability to shape their own destiny.
He urged residents, particularly youths, to remain active in education, business, professional growth, and community service, stressing that this is not the time for apathy but a time for action.
“Oyo Central deserves leadership that listens, empowers the people, and carries the dreams of the masses. Together, we can create opportunities for youths, support entrepreneurship, improve education, encourage innovation, and build a future where every young person has a chance to succeed,” he stated.
He further appealed for support, participation, and collaboration from the people, adding that the development of Oyo Central requires collective commitment rather than the efforts of one individual.
“The journey ahead is not about one man; it is about a movement of people who believe that Oyo Central Senatorial District can become greater,” he added.
Salawu encouraged residents to remain engaged and committed to building a better future for Oyo Central and Oyo State as a whole.
