Ido LG Chairperson Congratulates Children on International Children’s Day, Seeks Prayers for Abducted Pupils

Chief Mrs. Ifedolapo Adeojo, wife of the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, has congratulated children across the country, especially those in Ido Local Government Area, on the occasion of the 2026 International Children’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message to mark the annual celebration observed every May 27, Chief Mrs. Adeojo described children as the hope of a brighter future and urged them to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their education.
She encouraged children to be good ambassadors of their families and communities by embracing good morals, hard work and positive values, noting that these qualities would help shape them into responsible and successful adults.
The Ido LG Chairperson also called on parents and guardians to pay close attention to the upbringing, education and wellbeing of their children, stressing that proper guidance today would guarantee a better future for both parents and the society at large.

“Parents need to train their children today so they can enjoy peace and pride in the future,” she said.
She further appealed to teachers and caregivers to continue providing moral support, quality guidance and safe learning environments that would help children pursue their dreams and aspirations.
Expressing concern over the recent abduction of pupils and teachers in neighbouring Oriire Local Government Area, Chief Mrs. Adeojo called on Muslim faithful, mothers and all well-meaning Nigerians to pray for the safe return of the victims, especially during the Sallah season.
“They shall return safely soonest by God’s grace,” she prayed.
She also offered prayers for peace, protection and a brighter future for children across the state and the country.
“May God continue to help us. I pray that our children will grow to become great men and women whose achievements will bring honour, joy and prosperity to their parents, communities and the nation,” she added.
Chief Mrs. Adeojo wished all children a memorable, peaceful and fulfilling International Children’s Day celebration.
