Akin Fagbemi Donates ₦1m to Ibadan North-West Traders Association at Anniversary Celebration

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ibadan South-West/North-West Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has donated ₦1 million to the Ibadan North-West Traders Association.

Fagbemi made the donation during the association’s 10th Anniversary and Chieftaincy Award Ceremony held at the Ibadan North-West Local Government Secretariat in Onireke, Ibadan.

The APM candidate, who attended the event as the Special Guest of Honour, commended the association for its contributions to commerce and economic development in the local government area.

He described traders as critical stakeholders in the growth of the economy, noting that their resilience and commitment to business have continued to sustain many families and communities.

Fagbemi said the ₦1 million donation was aimed at supporting the activities of the association and encouraging its members to remain united and committed to their collective progress.

He congratulated the leadership and members of the association on reaching the milestone of 10 years, urging them to continue promoting peaceful coexistence and cooperation among traders.

The APM flag bearer also expressed appreciation to the association for the honour extended to him during the anniversary celebration.

He assured the traders of his continued support and pledged to champion policies and programmes that would improve the welfare of artisans, traders and small business owners if elected.

Fagbemi stressed the need for greater collaboration between elected representatives and grassroots groups to ensure inclusive development across the constituency.

He also encouraged members of the association to remain law-abiding and continue contributing to the socio-economic development of Ibadan.
