Adeojo hosts 30th remembrance prayer for late mother

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, on Tuesday hosted a prayer session to commemorate the 30th remembrance anniversary of his late mother, Alhaja Rasheedat Bolatito Adeojo, at her residence in Soka, Ibadan.

The remembrance brought together family members, political associates, friends, traditional and community leaders, as well as management and staff of Ido Local Government, who gathered to offer prayers and honour the memory of the late matriarch three decades after her passing.

Islamic clerics led special prayers for the repose of her soul, while also praying for God’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon the Adeojo family.

Speaking during the remembrance, Adeojo expressed gratitude to all those who attended the prayer session and to everyone who has continued to identify with the family over the years.

He said the support, prayers and goodwill of relatives, friends and associates had remained a source of strength and encouragement to the family.

“I sincerely appreciate everyone who honoured our invitation and joined us to remember our beloved mother. Your prayers, love and unwavering support over the years have meant so much to us, and we remain grateful for your kindness,” he said.

The Ido council chairman described his late mother as a woman of strong faith, compassion and exemplary values whose legacy continues to inspire members of the family and all who knew her.

Guests at the event also paid glowing tributes to the deceased, recalling her humility, generosity and commitment to the wellbeing of others.

The remembrance anniversary ended with prayers for the peaceful repose of Alhaja Rasheedat Bolatito Adeojo, unity within the family, and continued peace, progress and development in Ido Local Government and Oyo State.
