2027: It’s Time for Women — Hon. Adejoke Adekambi-Akinseye, Passes PDP Screening for Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Commends Party Stakeholders

Hon. Adejoke Adekambi-Akinseye, PhD, has emerged successful from the Peoples Democratic Party screening for the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Ibadan indigene, with roots in Kutayi Compound, Aremo, Ward 4, and Agate Compound, Oje, said her decision to contest came after broad consultations with party officials, traditional rulers, women and youth groups, and community representatives in both local government areas.

She listed job creation, empowerment for women and young people, better access to quality education, and improved healthcare delivery as the main areas she intends to address if elected. Adekambi-Akinseye stated that her experience in public service and academia, along with years of engagement at the grassroots level, positions her to push for effective representation in the National Assembly.

Speaking on the broader context of the contest, she said, “It’s time for women to take their rightful place in leadership and shape policies that reflect the realities of our communities.” She added that credible internal mechanisms are vital to strengthening party unity and public confidence, and commended the PDP screening committee for handling the process in a transparent and orderly manner.

Party stakeholders described her as a consistent voice for inclusive development and encouraged the party to support candidates with a proven record of service and broad-based appeal.

Adekambi-Akinseye restated her commitment to a governance approach centered on the people and pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders to advance growth and opportunity across Ibadan North-East and Ibadan South-East.
