The University of Ibadan Sports Academy has announced a four-week Summer Sports Camp aimed at discovering young talents and promoting physical fitness, academic excellence and character development among children and teenagers.

According to information released by the academy, the boarding camp will run from August 3 to August 28, 2026, at the International School, University of Ibadan (ISI). Activities will take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The programme is open to children aged 6–17 years and 18–23 years, and will feature training in football, basketball, athletics, swimming and tennis.

The organisers said the camp is designed to provide participants with a safe, fun and educational environment where they can develop sporting abilities while building discipline, leadership and teamwork.
Beyond sports training, participants will receive coaching and skill sessions, strength and conditioning exercises, competitive matches, sports and nutrition workshops, mathematics and English language classes, as well as talent identification and certification.
Other activities lined up include interactions with sports personalities, evening study sessions, field trips, cinema outings and mentorship programmes. Camp participants will also be provided with accommodation, three meals daily, T-shirts, medical support and certificates at the end of the programme.
The academy fixed the participation fee at ₦230,000 per child, with a 10 per cent early-bird discount available for payments made on or before July 3, 2026, while regular registration closes on July 25, 2026.
