The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde and security agencies for the successful rescue of the pupils, teachers and other victims abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, describing the operation as a major victory in the fight against insecurity.
In a statement made available to journalists, Adekanmbi said the successful rescue underscored what could be achieved through effective collaboration among security agencies and the support of the state government.

He noted that the coordinated response by security operatives reflected a strong commitment to protecting the lives and property of residents, while expressing appreciation to Governor Makinde for providing the necessary support and enabling environment for the operation.
The APM standard-bearer also commended the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Amotekun Corps, the military and other security agencies involved in the rescue mission, describing their professionalism, courage and dedication as worthy of commendation.

Adekanmbi expressed relief over the safe return of the victims and sympathised with their families for the emotional trauma and uncertainty they endured during the period of captivity.
He congratulated the rescued victims and their loved ones, urging security agencies not to relent in their efforts to eliminate criminal elements from Oyo State.
According to him, those responsible for the abduction should be identified, arrested and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others involved in criminal activities.
The governorship candidate reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening Oyo State’s security architecture, stressing that the protection of lives and property must remain a top priority for every level of government.
He also appealed to residents to continue partnering with security agencies by providing credible and timely information that would assist in preventing crime and enhancing security across the state.
