The Lagos State Government has presented more than ₦3.1 billion in compensation to over 300 property owners whose lands were acquired for strategic infrastructure projects across the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented the compensation on Monday, describing the payment as part of the state’s commitment to ensuring fairness and supporting residents affected by government development projects.

The beneficiaries are property owners whose lands were acquired for various infrastructure projects aimed at improving transportation, urban development and public services in Lagos.
The governor said the compensation underscores the government’s resolve to balance infrastructure development with the protection of citizens’ rights and interests.
