Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye has expressed gratitude to leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), community stakeholders, supporters, private organisations, and other partners for their support during the House of Representatives primary election held on May 15, 2026.
The primary election produced the PDP candidate for the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency ahead of the forthcoming general election.
In a statement issued on May 17, Adekanmbi-Akinseye described the outcome of the exercise as a reflection of party unity, cooperation, and the confidence reposed in her by party faithful and residents across the constituency.
She also acknowledged the congratulatory messages received from party members, traditional and community leaders, youth and women’s groups, friends, supporters, and residents of the constituency.

“The support, encouragement, and trust shown by party members, friends, and partners made this victory possible,” she said. “I accept the goodwill messages and support as a call to greater service and renewed commitment to the people. Together, we can work towards meaningful development that touches every household in our constituency.”
Adekanmbi-Akinseye commended members of Ward 12 in Ibadan South-East Local Government for their peaceful conduct, active participation, and dedication throughout the electoral process.
She equally appreciated party elders and leaders for their role in sustaining unity within the PDP and ensuring a smooth and credible primary election.
Reaffirming her commitment to inclusive and people-focused representation, she stated that her agenda would prioritise infrastructure development, improved healthcare delivery, access to quality education, youth empowerment and employment opportunities, support for women-owned businesses, and effective implementation of government programmes across communities in the constituency.
She further urged party members and supporters to remain united and focused as the PDP prepares for the next stage of the electoral process.
