Adekanmbi consults stakeholders in Oorelope, Saki East, Atisbo

The Oyo State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has continued his consultations with stakeholders across the state, visiting Oorelope, Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas to seek their views on issues affecting their communities.

Adekanmbi, during the consultations, met with traditional rulers, religious leaders, traders, artisans, transport workers, civil servants, community leaders and APM members in the three local government areas.

He said the consultations were aimed at creating an avenue for residents and other stakeholders to directly communicate their needs and expectations, adding that their inputs would complement the development agenda to be contained in his manifesto.

The stakeholders commended the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for its interventions in infrastructure and workers’ welfare, while urging Adekanmbi to sustain and build on the existing initiatives if elected governor in 2027.

Among the major demands presented by the stakeholders were the construction and rehabilitation of major and inner-town roads, establishment of higher institutions to stimulate economic activities and the establishment of a police college in the zone.

They also called for the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre, upgrading of healthcare and maternity facilities, improved security, better welfare packages for traditional rulers and enhanced welfare for civil servants and pensioners.

Responding to the concerns, Adekanmbi thanked the traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders and residents for their candid feedback and support.

He said, “The essence of this consultation is to listen directly to our people and understand the peculiar needs of each community. Their concerns will help shape our development priorities.”

Adekanmbi also met with APM leaders and members in the three local government areas, commending them for their commitment to the party.

He urged the party members to remain steadfast and dedicated to party activities, assuring them that an APM administration under his leadership would prioritise good governance and equitable development across Oyo State.

The APM candidate said he remained committed to ensuring that the concerns and aspirations of residents across the state’s zones were reflected in his administration’s development agenda if elected in 2027.
