Akeem Salawu inaugurates 40 ward coordinators across Oyo Federal Constituency

Hon. Akeem Adedamola Salawu, popularly known as Ilana Mekunu, has inaugurated 40 ward coordinators across the Oyo Federal Constituency, covering Atiba, Afijio, Oyo West and Oyo East Local Government Areas of Oyo State.

The inauguration, which saw the appointment of one coordinator in each of the 40 wards in the constituency, is aimed at strengthening grassroots coordination across the four local government areas.

The appointments comprise 10 ward coordinators each from Atiba, Afijio, Oyo West and Oyo East local government areas.

The coordinators are expected to serve as links between the Ilana Mekunu movement and residents at the ward level, while coordinating its activities and engagements across the various communities.

The development brings the movement’s grassroots coordination structure to all 40 wards within the federal constituency.

The inauguration is part of efforts by Salawu and the Ilana Mekunu movement to establish a wider ward-level structure and improve its engagement with communities across the constituency.

With the new appointments, the movement now has designated coordinators across the four local government areas that make up the Oyo Federal Constituency.
