HON. SHERIFF ADEOJO BOOSTS SECURITY WITH SOLAR STREETLIGHTS, DONATES BICYCLE TO OMO ODE AGBEKOYA

As part of ongoing efforts to improve nighttime visibility, strengthen security, and support efficient operations across key locations in Ido Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has distributed solar-powered streetlights to several conventional security agencies. He also donated a bicycle to the non-conventional security group, “Omo Ode Agbekoya,” situated opposite Bakatari Market.
The distribution followed the monthly security meeting held with security personnel and religious leaders at the Executive Hall of the Ido Local Government Secretariat.
Beneficiaries of the initiative include:
- Police stations at Ile Ido, Omi Apata, Eleyele, Apata, Kuola, Oke Alaro, and Apete, each receiving six solar streetlights.
- Operation Burst and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), also receiving six solar streetlights each.
- Ologuneru Police Station, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), each allocated two solar streetlights.
- The Immigration Office, which received one solar streetlight.
Representatives of the security agencies expressed gratitude for the chairman’s support and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the community. Hon. Adeojo emphasized the importance of synergy among all security bodies and assured them of his administration’s continuous backing to maintain peace and order in Ido Local Government.

“This effort highlights our commitment to prioritizing security as a cornerstone for development,” he stated. “We will continue to work hand in hand to ensure that Ido remains peaceful, safe, and conducive for residents and businesses.”
Dignitaries present at the event included the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; Chief Taoreed Ayodele (Baale of Bakatari); the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu; Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Victor Adelu; Chief Imam of Ido Local Government, Sheikh Waliyullah Sanusi (represented by Alhaji Sakirulahi Akanbi); and the CAN Chairman for Ido Local Government, Pastor Sunday Egbedokun, among others.
