The Ido Local Government Community Development Council (CDC) ably led by Engr. Lawal Tunde Salaudeen has formally pledged its full support for the ambition of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo to represent the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency in the forthcoming House of Representatives election.
The declaration was made during a visit by members of the CDC to the office of the Executive Chairman shortly after their monthly CDC meeting, which brings together representatives from communities in the 10 wards of the council. The council commended Hon. Sheriff Adeojo for his responsiveness, accountability, and consistent efforts towards the development of the communities and the local government at large.
Speaking on behalf of the council, members described the Hon. Chairman as a useful and responsible leader whose interventions have brought tangible improvements to the grassroots. They expressed full confidence in his competence, listening spirit, and readiness to serve at the national level, and affirmed that he remains the best choice to represent the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency.
Responding to the council’s endorsement, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo appreciated the unwavering support he has received from the CDC and the communities. He assured them that he would never relent in working towards the rapid development of Ido Local Government and pledged that he would never take their support or trust for granted.

In the same spirit, the CDC monthly meeting witnessed an interfaith special prayer for peace, progress, and stability in Ido Local Government and for the continued success of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo. The prayer session was led by three spiritual fathers, reflecting the unity of religious groups in the council area.
The meeting also featured a lecture titled “Building bridges across faiths: promoting love, unity, and peaceful coexistence in our communities,” delivered by three prominent religious leaders:
– Grand Chief Imam of Ido Local Government, Sheikh Waliyullah Sanusi Adekola;
– Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) President, Omi/Apata LCDA, Pastor Sunday Egbedokun;
– The Araba of Ido Local Government, Araba Faniyi Ayodare Oyawole.
The council expressed appreciation for the impact of the lecture, noting that it reinforced the need for mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration among people of different faiths in the pursuit of communal development and social harmony.
Other dignitaries present at the meeting include community leaders, CDC executives, and religious heads from across the 10 wards of Ido Local Government.
The Ido Local Government Community Development Council reiterated its resolve to mobilize grassroots support for Hon. Sheriff Adeojo’s federal representative ambition and pledged to work in synergy with all stakeholders to ensure the continued growth, unity, and prosperity of Ido/Ibarapa.
