NUMW honours Fola Akinosun with distinguished leadership award

The Nigeria Union of Mine Workers (NUMW), Oyo State Council, has honoured Dr. Fola Akinosun with a Distinguished Leadership Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to leadership and service.

Speaking at the event, the president of the association, Akinola Akinmola described Dr. Akinosun as a man of honour and a distinguished scholar whose leadership qualities continue to inspire many.

“Dr. Fola Akinosun is a man of honour and a distinguished scholar whose leadership, integrity and commitment to societal development stand out. This award is a recognition of his positive impact and the values he represents, which align with the ideals of our union.”

In his response, Dr. Akinosun expressed appreciation to the association for considering him worthy of the award. He also reaffirmed his commitment to continued service to humanity and the promotion of positive values in society.

“I am deeply honoured and grateful to the Nigeria Union of Mine Workers, Oyo State Council, for finding me worthy of this recognition. This award further strengthens my resolve to continue serving humanity and contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of our society.

“He has consistently supported the youth by sponsoring awards and providing scholarships to some of our members, a gesture he has sustained over the years.”
