“Renew Hope, Rebuild Nigeria” — Falana Urges Oyo Youth to Lead the Charge on Independence Day

As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has called on young people across the state to reignite their hope and play a leading role in building a stronger, united, and more prosperous Nigeria.

In a statement issued by his Head of Media, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Falana highlighted the vital role youth must play in shaping the nation’s future, despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.

“The 65th Independence Anniversary is not just a celebration of our past, it is a call to action,” Falana declared. “Our youth must embrace patriotism, resilience, and leadership. The future belongs to you, and it starts with the choices you make today.”
Falana urged young Nigerians not to lose heart but to channel their passion into innovation, civic engagement, and nation-building. He applauded the “Not-Too-Young-To-Run” law and credited Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for empowering youth through key appointments and inclusive policies in Oyo State.

He emphasized the importance of education, entrepreneurship, political participation, and digital inclusion as tools to equip the next generation for impactful leadership.
Falana also reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyo State government to sustainable youth development, citing ongoing initiatives in vocational training and job creation as strong foundations for future success.
“This is our home. Let us build it with courage, wisdom, and an unshakable belief in its promise,” he concluded.
Falana’s message strikes a powerful chord at a time when Nigeria needs its youth to step forward—not just in hope, but in action.
