Jericho GRA Residents Laud Makinde Over Road Upgrade
Residents of Oladejo Adigun and Baale Osuntoki Roads under the Jericho GRA Residents’ Road Association in Ibadan have expressed profound appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for approving and completing the upgrade of roads within their estate.
In a letter addressed to the governor at the Office of the Executive Governor, State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, the Chairman of the Association, Chief Bamiji Ojo, the Majeobaje of Ibadanland, conveyed the collective gratitude of members over the successful rehabilitation of the roads.
Chief Ojo stated that the road projects on Oladejo Adigun and Baale Osuntoki have been fully completed, bringing significant relief to residents and greatly improving access and mobility within the estate. He added that work is ongoing on the Jericho/Alesinloye Road, expressing optimism that its completion would further ease movement and enhance connectivity in the area.
He commended Governor Makinde for what he described as faithful adherence to promises made to the people, noting that the completion of the project reflects the administration’s commitment to fulfilling its social contract with citizens.
According to the association, the improved road infrastructure has not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the Government Reserved Area (GRA) but has also reduced wear and tear on vehicles, improved drainage, and boosted property values within the neighbourhood.
The residents particularly lauded the Makinde-led administration for consistent project delivery across Oyo State, especially in the areas of urban renewal and infrastructure development in both metropolitan and semi-urban communities.
Reaffirming their support, members of the association pledged their continued backing for the governor’s vision to position Oyo State as a leading state in Nigeria in terms of quality of life, infrastructure, and living standards.
A copy of the appreciation letter was also forwarded to the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government at the State Secretariat, Ibadan.
