Ido Security Chiefs Hail Chairman Adeojo for Consistent Support

Security agencies operating within the Ido Local Government Area have unanimously commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, for his unwavering support and cooperation, which they state is crucial to maintaining peace and stability in the area.
The commendation was made during a high-level security meeting held yesterday at the Executive Hall of the Ido Local Government Secretariat.
The meeting saw the attendance of top security brass, including the Operation Burst Commandant, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Divisional Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Officer-in-Charge of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Divisional Officer for Immigration, and representatives from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB).
Chairman’s Call for Intensified Efforts
In his address, Council Chairman Adeojo expressed profound gratitude to the security formations for their tireless efforts in safeguarding the lives and properties of Ido residents.
He specifically advised the agencies to intensify their operations in the lead-up to and throughout the upcoming Yuletide season, urging a proactive approach to potential crime.
Hon. Adeojo used the opportunity to formally welcome newly posted officers to the local government, notably the new Operation Burst Commandant, Major Samson Ukpanzeme, and the Divisional Officer for Immigration, CSI O.A. Afolabi.
Residents Urged to Be Vigilant
Also speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman and Political Head of Omi Apata Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Barrister Olayemi Oluwashina, called on residents to be security-conscious.
Barrister Oluwashina specifically advised motorists to adhere to traffic laws to prevent accidents and strongly urged all community members to report any suspicious activities, strange faces, or vehicles to the security agencies and local stakeholders immediately.


“If you see something, please say something,” he emphasized, reiterating the importance of communal intelligence gathering.

Other dignitaries present included the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu; the Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. T.L. Adeshina; and representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Chief Imam.
