Ido Local Government Mourns Late Former Chairman, Hon. Moshood Oyebamiji

The Ido Local Government of Oyo State has announced with deep sorrow the passing of its former Chairman, Alhaji (Hon.) Moshood Kolawole Oyebamiji.

In a statement issued by the council under the leadership of Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, the late Oyebamiji was described as a pillar of the community and a dedicated grassroots leader whose service greatly impacted the people of the local government.

He reportedly passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, leaving behind a significant void among political associates, residents, and many others who benefited from his leadership and commitment to public service.
According to the statement, the late former chairman has been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites. The 8-day Fidau prayers in his honour are scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Genesis Hall, Challenge, Ibadan.

The council extended its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the deceased, while praying for the repose of his soul and the strength for his loved ones to bear the loss.
