Ido CDC Appoints New Chairman Following Allegations of Misconduct Against Predecessor

The Community Development Committee (CDC) of Ido Local Government has officially inaugurated Engr. Lawal Tunde Salaudeen as its new Chairman following the impeachment of the former leader, Mr. Adegoke Musibau Gbadamosi, popularly known as Alapata.

Mr. Gbadamosi’s removal from office was confirmed during an executive meeting held at the Ido Local Government Secretariat, where members voted overwhelmingly in favor of his impeachment. According to reports, the decision was based on several allegations, including lack of collaboration with executive members, misappropriation of resources, involvement in partisan politics, diversion of government projects for personal benefit, and alleged rebellion against the present administration in Oyo State.

Following the vote, Mr. Gbadamosi was immediately barred from entering the local government premises or presenting himself as the CDC Chairman of Ido Local Government.

The inauguration ceremony of the new Chairman took place shortly after the session, with several key officials in attendance. Among them were Pastor Oladele Taiwo, CDC Patron; Alhaji Salau Moshood Olawale, General Secretary; and other executive members of the committee.

In his acceptance speech, Engr. Lawal Tunde Salaudeen pledged to restore unity, transparency, and effective collaboration within the committee. He also assured members of his commitment to fostering community development in line with the goals of the Oyo State Government.

The transition marks a new chapter for the Ido CDC, as members expressed optimism that the new leadership would strengthen grassroots development and uphold accountability in the local government area.
