Hon. Sheriff Adeojo Commends Gov. Makinde on Successful Oyo @50 Anniversary, Congratulates Indigenes

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the successful hosting of the Oyo @50 anniversary celebrations.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hon. Adeojo praised the governor’s visionary leadership and commitment to showcasing Oyo State’s rich cultural heritage, economic potential, and unity during the golden jubilee events.

According to him, the Oyo @50 anniversary was a remarkable display of the state’s resilience and steady progress under Governor Makinde’s administration. He noted that from the colourful parades to the insightful forums, every aspect of the celebration reflected the Pacesetter State’s enduring spirit and forward momentum. He also applauded the commissioning of the newly built Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat as part of the anniversary activities, describing it as a source of pride for the party.

The chairman further congratulated sons and daughters of Oyo State, both at home and in the diaspora, for their unwavering contributions to the state’s development and growing national and global reputation.

He noted that the achievements of Oyo indigenes across various sectors—whether in business, governance, innovation, or international engagements—continue to project the state’s excellence and values beyond its borders.

Hon. Adeojo also offered prayers for continued peace, prosperity, and divine guidance for Oyo State. He prayed for unity among the people, agricultural abundance, and leaders of integrity, expressing hope that the Pacesetter State would continue to lead Nigeria toward greater heights.

He finally called on residents of the state to sustain the momentum generated by the golden jubilee celebrations by actively supporting government policies and development initiatives aimed at fostering inclusive growth and progress.
