Governor Makinde Urges Ibadan North Residents To Vote PDP’S Candidate In The Upcoming Bye-election.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has called upon residents of Ibadan North Federal constituency to rally behind the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle “DON,” in the upcoming bye-election scheduled for August 16th, 2025, he said this during the campaign flag off held at Bodija Market. The Governor emphasized the need of unity and support for Hon. Folajimi (DON) and PDP as a whole so as to ensure a successful outcome at the election.

Furthermore, the Governor reiterated the need for active participation and engagement from residents of Ibadan North, this Governor Makinde said would help in shaping the political landscape of the constituency. Stakeholders present at the event agreed with the Governor that endorsing Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle “DON” as the PDP candidate for the House of Representatives bye-election is a good way to foster solidarity within the community to drive positive change and development.

The Governor used the opportunity to appeal to residents to come out en masse to vote for the PDP candidate, adding that this would reflect the commitment to democratic processes and inclusive governance by the people.

As the bye-election draws near the PDP as a whole expect residents of Ibadan North to heed Governor Makinde’s call for support and unity behind the PDP candidate, as they believe that through collective action and cohesive participation, Ibadan North can chart a path towards progress and prosperity under the leadership of Hon.
