Emiola, Apacino Emerge as PDP Chairman, Secretary in Ido LG Congress

Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has commended the leadership and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the peaceful and well-coordinated conduct of the party’s local government congress held on Saturday.

The congress, conducted through a consensus arrangement, saw the emergence of Hon. Musibau Emiola as the newly elected PDP Chairman for Ido Local Government, while Abiodun Emmanuel Fadeyibi, popularly known as Al-pacino, was elected as the Local Government Secretary.

In a statement released shortly after the exercise, Hon. Adeojo congratulated the new executives, describing their emergence as “a positive step toward deepening internal democracy and fostering unity within the party.”

“I want to sincerely congratulate Hon. Musibau Emiola, Abiodun Fadeyibi (Al-pacino), and all other elected executives,” he said. “Their emergence is a testament to their credibility and the trust reposed in them by our party members. This consensus outcome reflects our shared commitment to progress and party cohesion.”

Hon. Adeojo also expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for embracing peace and consensus during the selection process, noting that the peaceful nature of the congress reaffirms PDP’s commitment to democratic ideals.

He further pledged his full support for the new leadership, stating that his administration remains committed to promoting inclusiveness, unity, and good governance in Ido Local Government.

“We will continue to support efforts that strengthen the party at the grassroots level and beyond,” he added. “Together, we will build a more vibrant and united PDP in Ido.”
