Adeojo Felicitates Makinde, Christians on Easter

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has extended warm Easter greetings to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and Christians across Ido Local Government and the state.

In a statement marking the celebration, Adeojo described Easter as a season of renewal, hope, and resurrection, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and life over death. He urged residents to embrace the virtues of love, forgiveness, and unity as exemplified in the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Easter is not only a religious observance but also a universal call to reflect on our shared humanity and our commitment to peaceful coexistence,” he said. “In Ido Local Government, we remain committed to building an inclusive society where people of all faiths can thrive, while promoting development, security, and prosperity for all.”

The council chairman also called on Christians to use the Easter period to pray for sustained peace and progress in Ido Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to all communities within the local government.

Adeojo wished Christians a joyful Easter celebration filled with blessings, family togetherness, and spiritual renewal.
