Adeojo Disburses Cash to Support Community, Religious Projects in Ido

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has disbursed cash grants to various community and religious groups as part of efforts to promote grassroots development and social cohesion across the council area.

The financial support, aimed at strengthening local infrastructure and religious institutions, was distributed to selected beneficiaries within the local government. Among the recipients were the Apete Central Transformer Community, led by Alfa Saheed Alabi, which received ₦500,000, and the Muslim Community of Ido, under the leadership of Alhaji Adewunmi Ademola, also awarded ₦500,000.

Similarly, Modirasat Mosabihu Suudil Islam, led by Alhaji Sheik Abdulwahab Olodo, received ₦250,000, while the Liberty Garden Landlord Association around Agbofieti, facilitated by Hon. Adebowale Adedeji and chaired by Evangelist Jawolusi Sunday, was granted ₦200,000.

Speaking during the disbursement, Adeojo emphasized the importance of supporting community-based and religious initiatives as a pathway to sustainable development and peaceful coexistence.

“Supporting religious and community pillars builds lasting peace and progress in Ido. These grants are seeds for sustainable community growth. Together, we will build a strong Ido,” he said.

Representatives of the benefiting groups expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. They also pledged their continued support for the administration’s development agenda.

The event was attended by key government officials and stakeholders, including the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Adedeji Adebowale; Deputy Leader, Hon. Kazeem Olawale Oyepeju; Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Kabir Popoola; Supervisory Councillor for Information, Hon. Olubukola Folorunso; and the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu, among others.

The initiative underscores the council’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusive growth and empowering communities at the grassroots level.
