Adeojo Commends Makinde Over Approval of Ido–Akufo–Eruwa Road Reconstruction

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has lauded the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for approving the reconstruction of the 39-kilometre Ido–Akufo Junction–Eruwa Road.

Adeojo’s commendation followed the State Executive Council meeting held on Thursday, where key infrastructural projects were approved for execution across the state.

According to the council’s resolution, the reconstruction of the 39km Ido–Akufo Junction–Eruwa Road will be executed at a cost of ₦50,344,692,765.50 (Fifty billion, three hundred and forty-four million, six hundred and ninety-two thousand, seven hundred and sixty-five naira, fifty kobo).

Hon. Adeojo described the approval as a significant step toward unlocking the economic potential of Ido local government and neighbouring communities, expressing optimism that the project would enhance connectivity and improve livelihoods.

He further noted that the reconstruction would ease the burden on motorists and motorcycle riders who ply the route daily, while opening up the corridor for increased commercial activities and rural development.

The council chairman thereafter urged the residents of the local government to continue to support governor Makinde and PDP led adminostration.
