Adeojo inspects Elebu-Oritamerin-Idi Ahun road, charges contractor on quality, speed

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Oyo State, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Elebu-Oritamerin-Idi Ahun Road, urging the contractor handling the project to maintain quality standards and expedite its completion.

Adeojo, who led supervisory councillors, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kamorudeen Gbadamosi, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Aminu Sarafadeen, Head of Local Government Administration, Director of Administration and General Services, Mr Adelu Victor, Engineer Ayobade Kazeem and community leaders on the inspection, expressed satisfaction with the progress of work.

The council chairman said the inspection was aimed at assessing the level of work and ensuring that the project was executed according to the required standards.

Speaking during the inspection, Adeojo described the road as a strategic infrastructure that would connect several communities, improve transportation and facilitate the movement of farm produce and other goods.

“This road is very dear to our administration because of its importance to our people. We are determined to deliver a durable and standard road that will bring lasting relief to motorists and residents. We will not compromise on quality,” he said.

The chairman further assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritise infrastructural development across Wards 1 to 10 of the local government.

According to him, the commitment is in line with the Omituntun 2.0 sustainable development agenda of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Adeojo also commended Governor Makinde for his support towards the development of Ido Local Government, particularly his contribution to making the road project a reality.

He said the completion of the road would enhance socio-economic activities in the affected communities and provide lasting benefits to residents.

Residents of Elebu, Oritamerin and Idi-Ahun, who came out to receive the chairman during the inspection, commended his administration for its commitment to grassroots development and prayed for the success of the council.
