APM appoints media team for Adekanmbi governorship campaign

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship campaign organisation in Oyo State has constituted its Media and Publicity Sub-Committee ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The committee, according to a statement issued by the Bimbo Adekanmbi Campaign Council on Saturday, is headed by Mr Yinka Oladoyinbo as Director of Communication and Spokesperson.

Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju was appointed Co-Director and Spokesperson.

Other members appointed as Deputy Directors are Ms Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Mr Dapo Falade, Mrs Bosede Sodiq, Mr Moses Alao and Mr Fisayo Daramola.

The appointments take immediate effect.

Oladoyinbo, who is a Deputy Editor of the Nigerian Tribune, has 27 years of post-qualification experience in journalism. He has worked with Daily Trust and The Punch, including as State Correspondent in Lagos, Ondo and Kogi states.

He is currently the Head of the Politics Desk of the Nigerian Tribune and previously served as Secretary of Ibadan South-West Local Government.

Giwa-Onafuwa, a broadcast media professional, has more than 16 years of experience in radio and television, having worked across Nigeria’s media industry.

She holds a master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan and has twice served as a General Manager in the broadcast media sector.

She is also a TEDx speaker, master of ceremonies and content creator and serves on the boards of Educare Trust and Alliance Française Ibadan.

Falade, another member of the team, is a journalist with over 20 years of experience covering politics and public affairs.

He worked with the Nigerian Tribune, where he rose to the position of Deputy Editor and handled political and regional assignments, including as State Correspondent in Ekiti and Rivers states and Senate Correspondent in Abuja.

In May 2020, he founded Newscoven.com, a digital news platform.

The campaign council said the appointments were part of its preparations for the governorship election, with the newly constituted team expected to coordinate the campaign’s communication and publicity activities.
