Adekanmbi wraps up Thank-You tour in Saki, Iseyin, reaffirms inclusive Governance

The governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, on Thursday concluded their statewide thank-you tour with visits to the Saki and Iseyin zones, urging party members to remain united ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The final leg of the tour took the APM standard-bearers to Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas, as well as Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa LGAs, where they were received by party leaders, stakeholders, members and supporters.

The tour was organised to appreciate party faithful for their support during the party’s candidate nomination process and to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
Addressing party members at the various meetings, Adekanmbi thanked leaders and supporters for the confidence reposed in him, saying his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate reflected the collective will of APM members across the state.

He said the mandate belonged to every member of the party and pledged to provide leadership built on fairness, transparency and humility if elected.
Adekanmbi said his administration would operate an open-door policy that would accommodate all interests within the party, adding that inclusive and participatory governance would remain central to his vision for Oyo State.
He also commended party leaders and grassroots mobilisers for their commitment and sacrifices, describing them as the backbone of the party.
Calling for greater unity, discipline and commitment among members, the governorship candidate said continuous engagement with the electorate would be key to the party’s success in the 2027 election.
“Our collective strength lies in our unity. Together, we can build a stronger party capable of delivering quality leadership and meaningful development for the people of Oyo State,” he said.
Adekanmbi assured supporters that, if elected, his administration would focus on inclusive development, community empowerment and policies aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the state.
Stakeholders in the Saki and Iseyin zones also reaffirmed their support for the Adekanmbi/Open-Salawu ticket, expressing confidence in the duo’s ability to provide purposeful leadership and drive grassroots development across Oyo State.
