2027: Fatola Joins Reps Race, Picks PDP Form for Ibadan Northwest/Southwest-Acknowledges Gbolarumi’s leadership

Hon. Samson Opeyemi Fatola of Ward 9, Iresa Adu, Aremo in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, has entered the race for the House of Representatives after picking the Peoples Democratic Party Expression of Interest and Nomination Form for the Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Fatola picked the form on Sunday in Ibadan, signaling his bid to represent the two council areas — Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West, that constitute the Federal Constituency.

Speaking with journalists after obtaining the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form, the PDP chieftain said his ambition is rooted in delivering responsive leadership and tangible development to both local governments.

“Picking this form is a covenant to serve. The people of Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West deserve leadership that is accessible, accountable, and result-driven,” he stated.

He reaffirmed absolute loyalty to the PDP, its constitution, and its organs, describing the party as the most credible vehicle for inclusive governance.

Hon. Fatola acknowledged party leaders at all levels for maintaining stability in the PDP. He specifically recognized the Gbolarumi Leadership for its “fatherly guidance, political wisdom, and steadfast dedication to party unity in Oyo State.”

A businessman and community developer long active in PDP affairs in Ibadan South-West, Hon. Fatola pledged to focus on youth empowerment, job creation, education, healthcare, and infrastructure across the Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency.

He solicited the support of party stakeholders, delegates, and constituents in both local government areas, promising transparent and effective representation.
