2027: Adekanmbi-Akinseye Declares for Ibadan Reps Seat, meets Excos

Hon. Dr. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye, AAA, PhD, a scholar and philanthropist from Ile Kure and Kutayi compounds in Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, on Monday declared her intention to contest the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.

Dr. Adekanmbi-Akinseye, who is seeking the Peoples Democratic Party ticket, made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the Oyo State PDP Executive Committee led by Chairman Prof. Abdulrahman Akinoso in Ibadan.

Addressing the State Exco, she pledged to fulfill her commitments and empower party members and constituents if the party supports her to fly its flag. She said her bid is anchored on delivering “analytical, compassionate, and results-focused representation” through her legislative agenda, _“Evidence, Empowerment, and Equity”_.

The agenda prioritizes access to university education for indigent students, agricultural incentives for women and retirees, welfare support for widows, youth job creation, and data-driven project delivery.

A Research Consultant and Managing Director of VJPD Consult Ltd, Dr. Adekanmbi-Akinseye holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Ibadan, a B.Sc. in Mathematics from London Metropolitan University, an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Greenwich, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos.

A private citizen who has never held political office, she has funded vocational training for over 500 women and youths, annual scholarships, free JAMB/UTME tutorials, and interest-free revolving funds for traders in Molete, Beere, Mapo, and Oje markets.

Receiving her, Prof. Akinoso commended her grassroots record and academic credentials, urging aspirants to maintain party unity ahead of the 2027 polls.
