Ido LG CDC Holds Maiden 2026 Meeting, Commends Council Chairman Adeojo

The Community Development Council (CDC) of Ido Local Government Area, under the leadership of its Chairman, Engr. Tunde Salaudeen, on Wednesday, January 15, 2026, held its first meeting of the year at the Ido Local Government Multi-Purpose Hall.

During the meeting, members of the council unanimously commended the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, for his consistent support and commitment to the activities and growth of the Community Development Council.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Education and Social Services, Mrs. Ganiyat Dasola Durodola, executive members of the council, CDC members, as well as the Information Unit media crew.
A key highlight of the gathering was a security sensitisation lecture delivered by an Amotekun Administrative Officer, Mr. Owolabi Oluwaseyi. In his presentation, he stressed that security is a collective responsibility and urged community members to adopt proactive measures such as remaining vigilant, being conscious of their surroundings, knowing their neighbours and their activities, fostering strong community relationships, and promptly reporting suspicious movements to Amotekun operatives or other security agencies. He also addressed concerns relating to scavenger-induced security challenges in some communities.

In his remarks, Engr. Salaudeen again expressed appreciation to Hon. Adeojo for his invaluable assistance and contributions to the council’s operations. He also commended the executive members and CDC stakeholders for their dedication and active participation in community development initiatives across the local government area.
