New Year 2026: Oyo Youth Agency Hails Young People, Pledges Stronger Push for Empowerment

The Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, under the leadership of Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has extended warm New Year greetings to youths across the state, describing 2026 as a year of renewed hope, expanded opportunities and collective progress.

In a New Year message released by the Head of the Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Prince Adebowale expressed optimism about the future of the state, stressing that the vision of a greater Oyo can only be realised through empowered, innovative and purpose-driven youths.

“Happy New Year 2026! A Greater Oyo Begins With Empowered Youths,” the statement read.

The Agency noted that the new year presents fresh opportunities for growth, innovation, leadership and prosperity for young people in Oyo State. It reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through inclusive policies, skills acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship support and impactful youth-focused initiatives, under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde.

According to the Agency, these interventions are strategically designed to equip Oyo youths with relevant competencies, enhance their global competitiveness and enable them to make meaningful contributions to the socio-economic development of the state.

Hon. Adebowale further emphasised that sustained collaboration between the government and the youth remains critical to building a sustainable future anchored on creativity, resilience and excellence.

The Agency therefore urged young people across the state to remain proactive, united and committed to positive engagement as they work together to shape a future defined by purpose and progress in 2026.

It concluded by wishing all youths a prosperous and fulfilling New Year.
