IDO LG CHAIRMAN CALLS FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has urged residents of the council area to collaborate with security agencies in combating illegal immigration and its associated threats.


Hon. Adeojo made the call during the monthly security meeting with security operatives held at the council secretariat. The meeting brought together representatives of key security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, State Security Service (SSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Operation Burst, Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB), to discuss security challenges and strengthen inter-agency cooperation.

“I call on all residents to support our efforts in tackling illegal immigration and promoting community safety,” Hon. Adeojo said. “Together, we can build a secure and prosperous Ido for all. I also urge everyone to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.”
Security representatives at the meeting commended the Executive Chairman for his continuous support, proactive measures, and timely interventions in ensuring that Ido Local Government remains a safe haven for residents and visitors alike.
Those in attendance included the Vice Chairman, Barrister Olayemi Oluwashina; Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Hon. AbdulAzeez Yahaya; Supervisor Councillors; Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Aminu Sarafadeen; and the Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. T.L. Adeshina, among others.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to intensify joint efforts in safeguarding the lives and property of residents within Ido Local Government.
