IDO LE TENTE Football Competition Set to Kick Off in Ido Local Government

The much-anticipated “IDO LE TENTE” Football Competition, a grassroots-friendly tournament organized by the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, is set to kick off this Friday, October 10, 2025, at Ido High School, Ido.

The initiative, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, youth development, and community bonding across the ten wards of the local government, is open to men of all ages. According to the planning committee, the opening match will feature a clash between Ward 8 and Ward 3 at 3:00 PM.

At a recent planning meeting chaired by the Supervisory Councillor for Youth and Sports, Hon. Oladimeji Kayode, details of the fixture schedule and community mobilization strategies were finalized.

Day 1 – Friday, October 10, 2025
- Ward 8 vs Ward 3 — 3:00 PM
Day 2 – Saturday, October 11, 2025
- Ward 1 vs Ward 5 — 12:00 PM
- Ward 9 vs Ward 10 — 1:30 PM
Day 3 – Sunday, October 12, 2025
- Ward 6 vs Ward 9 — 2:00 PM
- Ward 3 vs Ward 4 — 3:00 PM
Day 4 – Saturday, October 18, 2025
- Ward 2 vs Ward 5 — 12:00 PM
- Ward 6 vs Ward 4 — 1:30 PM
Day 5 – Sunday, October 19, 2025
- Ward 1 vs Ward 10 — 2:00 PM
- Ward 2 vs Ward 7 — 3:00 PM
- Ward 9 vs Ward 8 — 4:00 PM
Day 6 – Friday, October 24, 2025 (Semi-Finals)
- 1st in Group A vs 2nd in Group B — 3:00 PM

Day 7 – Sunday, October 26, 2025 (Final Match)
- Final Match — 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Representing the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lukman Olabamiji, Chairman of the House Committee on Youth and Sports, assured residents of an exciting and impactful tournament. He emphasized that the competition would serve as a platform to promote local talents, foster unity, and encourage active community engagement.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills, build community spirit, and have fun,” Hon. Olabamiji remarked.
He also encouraged interested participants to obtain registration forms from their respective ward coordinators.
